HeartCode® BLS is an official AHA two-part program for individuals interested in self-paced, online BLS certification and recertification. Providers are presented with online course content and realistic patient cases. Participants are required to interact with the program to assess the patient, formulate a treatment plan (based on the BLS algorithms) and administer treatment.
Part 1
The didactic portion requires the participants to complete online scenarios & written exam. This can be completed anywhere you have an internet connection. The average completion time is 1 to 2 hours. The material needs to be completed in sequential order. However, you do not need to complete it in a single session. You can stop and then come back later and pick up where you left off.
