Jan. 18 talk will focus on standardized-patient encounters

Rachel Yudkowsky, MD, an expert in simulation-based instruction and assessment, will speak at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, in Lester Hall, room 104, at a seminar on "Assessing Clinical Reasoning in Standardized Patient Encounters. The lecture will focus on standardized-patient checklists and post-encounter notes to help promote clinical reasoning.
Dr. Yudkowsky is an Associate Professor of Medical Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Director of the school's Graham Clinical Performance Center. The Sentara Center for Simulation & Immersive Learning at EVMS is sponsoring the lecture. Please RSVP to Sterline Everette.
